As SXSW comes to an end, things are going back to normal once again. Today we printed Digital 101.5’s new shirts, they are a Spanish Radio Station based out of McAllen, TX. Cool huh? And yes, they are purple :) The radio station will be giving out Mana tickets, although it is not quite clear which show the tickets are for… if you live in TX check it out. On that note, make sure to listen to Mana’s newest album Drama Y Luz which is in stores now.

Sometimes life is going by so fast that we don’t always stop to realize how lucky we are to be living in this amazing city. Organizations like Citizen Generation is a perfect example of the people who make Austin so special, an organization that’s soul focus is to give back to our community. We recently worked with them on some decals for their CharityBash Masquerade Ball, one of the many events that they have put on to promote a fun and accessible way to become more active in philanthropy around the city. They ended up raising over $27,000 for the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas ! We look forward to seeing all their amazing work and being as active as we can to make this world a better place.
One of our favorite local bar/video game hang out spots, Kung Fu Saloon, will be showcasing 71 bands in the next 4 days – insane ! Click the flier for a larger version to check out set times and bands. Also check out these fly new shirts we printed today for them:
Ladies and gentlemen of SXSW ! We don’t normally drink all day and all night, but with all the free beverages we are being offered, it’s hard to say no. Tito’s Vodka knows you all are having a good time, and they want to keep you safe as well so they’ve provided a FREE and safe mode of transportation to get you around town ! Tito’s Trolley is officially in service as of 2:00pm today and will continue to run throughout the festival everyday til 9pm. For a look at where the Trolley will be click here. So make sure to be on the look out for the Trolley and have fun!!

As we rapidly approach Friday, the excitement is slowly beginning to kick in ! With shirts still being printed, we wanted to share our latest goodies with you all once again.
Friday marks the official first day of SXSW ! Here’s some parties to kickstart your butt into gear :

3- North of 41 – Canada Lounge @ SXSW
These two parties aren’t on Friday but they look so awesome we wanted to include them anyways ;]
SXSW is just 4 days away…and so the chaos continues! With an overwhelming Unofficial 2012 Schedule available to us now, we have decided to pick some of the parties we have already RSVP’d to and hopefully have you all RSVP as well. Today’s picks are:
1- The House of Creatives Project, which is sponsored by Black Banditz, Bang On! NYC, No Shame, Zero Film Festival, Loose World & Freaker.
2- Portland/Oakland/Austin SXSW Showcase, bands playing will be Agent Ribbons, Y La Bamba, Radiation City, Emily Jane White, Foxtails Brigade, Nick Jaina & Body Parts.
Meanwhile, around the shop we continue to get ready for next week. Busy busy with tees such as the ones below. Pretty awesome huh? :] Can’t wait to see people actually wearing them around town!
Austin continues an annual tradition from 1929 to today! It’s the Zilker Park Kite Festival! It’s free, and you can bring your pets! You can also participate in one of many contests they hold at this event- For kids, there is the 50 yard dash & for all those young at heart, there’s the Highest Angle Kite, the Steadiest Kite, the Strongest Pulling Kite, the Smallest Kite, the Most Unusual Kite, the Largest Kite, and the Oldest and Youngest Kite Flyers! If you want to go beyond simply attending the event, you can sign up to be a volunteer or donate money to this annual event that we all look forward to.
Booths open at 10:00 AM. Registration for the kite contests starts at 11:00 AM.
Events start at 1:00 PM & ends at 5:00 PM.
